Ragesh Mattummal is the Co-founder and Partner of CLA Emirates (formerly known as Emirates Chartered Accountants Group – ECAG), bringing over two decades of professional experience across Banking, Foreign Exchange, Company Formation, Liquidation, Corporate Finance Consultancy, Business Planning, and Treasury Management.

He began his career with one of India’s premier Non-Banking Financial Companies (NBFCs), where he headed the Foreign Exchange Export Division, before moving to the UAE to work with a well-established foreign exchange firm. This diverse exposure has given him deep insights into both regional and international financial ecosystems.

With more than 15 years of hands-on experience in liaising with UAE government authorities and regulatory departments, Ragesh has played a key advisory role for businesses across multiple jurisdictions. As a trusted business advisor, he has guided entrepreneurs and corporates globally in structuring their businesses, supporting company incorporation, and ensuring ongoing compliance with local legal and regulatory requirements.

Over the years, his multifaceted roles have enabled him to provide practical, compliance-driven insights to business owners and senior leadership teams operating in the UAE.

Ragesh is also an Anti-Money Laundering (AML) Specialist, with a proven track record across banking, non-banking financial institutions, and Designated Non-Financial Businesses and Professions (DNFBPs). His expertise lies in AML/CFT frameworks, regulatory compliance, and risk mitigation, making him a sought-after speaker and advisor in this domain.

He holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Finance & Marketing.
